Now, let's talk about the heart of the experience - the food. Naan Staap® specializes in freshly made naan, which is the perfect canvas for the restaurant’s creative dishes. The naan bread here is not only soft and pillowy but also packed with flavor. You can enjoy it on its own or paired with a variety of fillings and toppings, ranging from traditional curries to unique fusion creations. A standout is the "Spicy Lamb Naan," where tender lamb is marinated and cooked to perfection, creating a mouthwatering combination of heat and richness. The contrast between the warm naan and the bold flavors of the filling makes for an unforgettable bite.

If you prefer something lighter, the restaurant also offers a range of vegetarian options. The "Paneer Tikka Naan" is a must-try for anyone looking for a vegetarian delight. With marinated paneer grilled to perfection and wrapped in fresh naan, it’s a dish that satisfies without being too heavy. For something even more refreshing, there are plenty of salads and sides that add a delightful crunch to your meal, like the tangy "Mango Chutney" or the cool "Cucumber Yogurt Salad."

Beyond just naan, Naan Staap® has an impressive selection of drinks that complement the meal perfectly. They serve a variety of beverages from fruity cocktails to traditional masala chai, offering something for every palate. For those with a sweet tooth, the "Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice Cream" is the perfect way to end your meal. The sweet, syrupy treat paired with cool, creamy ice cream creates a beautiful balance of textures and flavors.

The menu isn’t the only thing that makes Naan Staap® stand out - the location plays a big role too. Situated in the bustling heart of London, the restaurant is easily accessible, making it a great stop whether you're a local or a visitor. The vibrant neighborhood surrounding the restaurant adds to its charm, and there's always something exciting happening nearby.

If you’re craving quick, flavour-packed comfort food, this place is such a win. The naan is soft, fresh, and perfectly cooked — not dry, not chewy — and the fillings are generous and full of flavour. Every bite feels warm, indulgent, and satisfying without being too heavy. Perfect for quick lunch we had cholaa bhatura

We had been on our way to get take away kebab rolls from Tayyabs, which is our go-to place in the area. However, it was raining and miserable and we didn't fancy eating out in the rain. I hate eating in at Tayyabs but that's another review, so we saw this interesting looking place with amazing looking karak chai in the window so we ducked in. It was quite empty when we arrived and we had a ponder and ordered a stuffed bread each and a couple of chai. We were 4 people and we had the achari chicken naan, potato and cheese naan, lamb qeema masala naan and lamb dum paratha. We tried both the masala and karak chai, and it was great there are full flavour, less sugar and no sugar options! We had the less sugar, and it was plenty sweet enough! There's a clean loo and nice clean tables and booths. We were still hungry so ordered a portion of bhatura, which is 3 pieces and only £1.95! We had channay, with egg on top, but the flavour wasn't one we were used to, so that was the only dish we weren't so keen on. To finish, we had to try the karak maska, which wasn't on the menu, but we saw it on a screen advert, which was clotted cream sandwiched between 2 pieces of brioche bread loaf, and a cutting chai cupful of karak chai to pour over the top. You then eat with a spoon. Utterly divine! Would highly recommend and would also go out of my way to go here. There are a few branches around London, but none really in convenient locations to me, just like with some of the other mini chains of desi places. :( The service was very polite and super patient with the inevitable uncle complaining about the cost of a cup of chai, but seriously the quality of the chai was top notch, possibly made with condensed milk, and so delicious and mouth watering, I couldn't fault it at all.

We visited Naan Staap – New Road, London on Monday and had a great experience. My wife ordered the lamb bhuna with kalwanji naan, and I had the lamb hareesa. The food was very fresh, full of flavour, and thoroughly enjoyable. What really made our visit special was the atmosphere — chai, Ghulam Ali’s ghazals, and especially Taimoor Khan, who was an excellent host. He was extremely polite, friendly, and welcoming with all customers, and it was clear that many regulars know him well. Naan Staap has several branches in London, but we would definitely return to the New Road branch again, mainly because of Taimoor’s outstanding hospitality.
